iOS 4.1, the software for iPhone, has a cool new feature in it’s camera settings. It now does a form of HDR where the camera/phone attempts to balance highlights and shadows into one picture. I’m not too sure if it takes 3 photographs like I do or just does the adjustments in camera but it does work not too bad in a pinch. Below is a comparison of normal and HDR settings.

Normal straight from the camera.

Next photo is using the HDR setting and some post-processing where I darkened the highlights as well as cloned out the upper power lines.
