Today’s photo of the day is a timelapse movie taken off my balcony at home. It was taken using a Canon SD750 pocket camera loaded with a firmware hack called CHDK (Canon Hardware Development Kit). It consists of 235 photographs put together in Final Cut Express. Not too bad for a first attempt and much easier than trying with my big camera. I would hope that my friend Howie will make up his timelapse of some great lightning in Vancouver and show it.
I haven’t focused much on shoot photographs lately because our goal at school has been to shoot video for the grade 7’s end of year assembly. We (Chris and I) spend a great deal of time making the kids do silly things to amuse ourselves. Since this post goes out to Facebook and I’m friends with a few students, they’ll understand what I’m talking about! Here’s a screenshot of the making of the Opening (or closing) sequence of the video. I’m making it my photo of the day!
A photo of a flower from the plants we bought for our deck. I would have loved to photograph the movie theatre today. Watching Sex in the City 2 was quite an experience and the photo could have been like “Where’s Waldo” except it would have been find one of the 5 guys! Watching it was the least I could do for my terrific wife for putting up with me in all honesty.
First my boring picture of the day.
And now what the theatre would have looked like.
Not much of a “photograph of the day” today but I was looking at some other photos that I had taken and noticed what looked like dust in the photo so I took this boring picture. The idea is that the plain wall will show any areas that may have dust on the camera sensor, I guess I’m getting a little paranoid as I was changing lenses like crazy in less than ideal conditions over the past week.
